Call WAPA.

We lost power over Solitude way a few hours ago. Was off for less than 30 minutes. Could be your fuse blew when it was restored. Best to call and let them know.

Thanks. I called them right away to report our outage. I hear one generator going right now. It must only be a few houses.

A very big thank you to the WAPA repair guys who got our power back on. Apparently they did not get my message when I reported the outage but my neighbor called a couple of hours after I did and they were out within 30 minutes. Super nice guys. It was only us and 1 neighbor who still had no power. They fixed it in 5 minutes. I gave them cookies and fruit punch. They were happy.

Headline: WAPA RESTORES ELECTRICAL SERVICE IN ST. THOMAS ST. JOHN DISTRICT

At 6:22 am, the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority completed the restoration of electric service following a district wide service interruption. The interruption occurred at 12:57 a.m. when generating units 23 and 25 failed causing all feeders to trip off line. The cause of the generators' failure is being investigated.

In the hours following the unit's failure, plant personnel brought Units 14, 18 and 25 on line to facilitate the restoration process.

WAPA apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this morning's electrical service interruption.

As usual the "boots on the ground" people are awesome, its the unqaulified management that are the problem
