Pot Farms
Anyone care to share about this? If you go to the Point Udall Monument on St. Croix, you can look up into the remote hills and see a suspicious-looking triangular patch-about 20 feet across-where the land has been cleared. If you go to Cane Bay on the North Coast, you can look up with a pair of binoculars near the top of the ridge in Estate Annaly, where a rectangular patch has been cleared. A path leads down from the woods. Don’t know about these two spots for certain, but I have strong suspicions. Informed sources have told me about a couple of other locations. Shhhhh….
What I find amusing is that some of it is being done right out in the open. I wonder how much the farmers pay or give to the local police. Personally, I’ve never touched the stuff. I’ll stick with rum in the evenings!
It's for medical and religious purposes...BTW rum will kill your liver...:-)
Yep,but will it help a bad liver?hahaha
NS,
That’s what I suspected. These people obviously put a lot of effort into clearing and cultivating some rugged terrain. Unfortunately, there appear to be some outside hoodlums who fight over who gets to harvest the crop. I’ve had to call the police more than once when I’ve found a car that’s been stripped or pushed over a cliff.
Gave up smoking a while back, but don’t drink rum at the end of the day? For heaven’s sake, this is the Caribbean! I’m 41 and look 25. Bet I live to be 100.
FOG,
"...41 and look 25." How does one accomplish that?
BTW, I live in an area that was once known, apparently, as Marijuana Mountain. I've hiked the area and can't find any - not that I was looking ;-). Story goes that some guy built a small brick "fortress" for the teens to hang out in and smoke. Oh well, guess ya got to make a living somehow!
Bou'ya,
Lots of vegetables. Cruzan Rum makes me strong!
Hummmm......any of those "suspicious" mountain tops on St. Thomas????? 🙂
Kris
Well if there are "any of those 'suspicious' mountain tops on St. Thomas" my guess is that they'd be located on the west end of the island.
At least that's where they used to be.
how does one make contacts?
Just curious? As a new comer and hater of the goods isn't anyone afraid of talking to the wrong person?
