Hi All:

I'm thinking of changing pool servicing companies on STT. Can folks give me recommendations of good (or warnings of bad) companies/ individuals? Bad reviews by PM, please. 😉

Thanks,

Islandlola

Here's something to consider if you're able, have the time, and want to save cash: pools are really easy to take care of by yourself.

It's pretty simple to figure out the chemicals and things like 'backwashing' the filter.' The people at the pool stores are very helpful, and there are plenty of good pool websites that tell you how, if you're not sure, and can help you solve problems if you encounter them.

I've taken care of my own pools up north and down here, and I think it's easier down here because you don't have to deal with opening and closing a pool for the season, and the relative constant temps down here keep the chemical balances from going out of whack. Pools seems to stay cleaner down here too.

I find it quite relaxing and it saves me a lot of money.

we've used VI Pool and Spa for years. Bobby Golub does a great job, very friendly and customer focused as are his employees. Number is: 340-643-5304
