PO / mail box service
Moving to St. C in a few weeks and would like to set up a PO Box or mail service to receive boxes and forwarded mail until we get set up, any ideas?

Mailboxes and more is what I use too... easy in, easy out... they sign for everything and I can mail out whatever. Not all residences get home delivery of mail. Some don't at all, some have those aluminum boxes at some point in the neigborhood, and some condos have mailboxes in a central location. Depending on your situation, if like mine, you may set up this box and end up keeping it. 8)
St. C is a condo complex. If that is where you are moving they should have a way to accept packages for you. Otherwise, the island is called St. Croix or STX and the advice given above is good.
I moved here 7 years ago. My husband came here ahead of me and we had a mailbox at mailboxes etc. All good until I went to USPS PO box. Nothing could be forwarded after a month because it cost them postage to send all your mail somewhere in an oversize envelope. They wouldn't hold my stuff after a month and wouldn't call me when anything arrived important arrive.
Just sayin.
anytime you use a postal service for your mail, they do that. i learned that when i lived in indian rocks beach and moved to marathon. still kept that type of service while there and had them ship stuff to me here. we now have a p o box. if you need stuff delivered they do accept packages for you at a cost. i accidentally had something shipped there years after we closed our box. long story short, they still had the package and hubby was able to pick it up for a cost. 1 day before they were going to ship it back.
May I jump in here and ask where is Mailboxes and More located? We will be spending the winter on STX in 2015, switching locations a few times, so it would be great to rent a mailbox. But perhaps a yearly PO Box rental would be best.
It's at Sunny Isle, right across the street from the mall, behind a gas station in a short retail strip.
We used it for several years when we spent winters on STX before buying our own place there. Worked great for us.
