Which Island?

oops sorry-- st thomas...
I am staying at the King Christian in Christiansted. It is in town across from the beach. Its clean and convenient for I have to do on my PMV. It resaonably priced.
I'd recommend The Crystal Palace/Villa Fairview.
Ronnie is the proprietor- a local whose family has been here for generations. He's very knowledgeable, and the properties are clean and nice.
He does short-term rentals, and is a great resource.

Hello,
Melody - Christiansted is on St. Croix. Meg is coming to St. Thomas :).
Meg, look into Villa Fairview & Crystal Palace that LR suggested.
If your mom really wants the beach/pool and you want close to town then you might try Emerald Beach Resort too. http://www.emeraldbeach.com or http://www.caribbeachresort.com They aren't going to be really cheap though, but will get you something in between what you both are looking for. And since your mom wants the beach, get her to pay more of the bill 😉 - LOL.

Sorry Meg,
I gave you info for stx. When I was in STT I stayed at the Buner Hiil Guest House. Depending on what you are looking for that might be something you want to check out. Clean, reasonable, convenient.
Melody....how much is the one on STX? Going on Mon or Tues!

Alix, you might try the Hotel Caravelle on the boardwalk. They contract with the airlines and keep rooms for the crews. They are just as nice as the other rooms, but don't have a view of the harbor. Don't know what their rates would be, but it would be worth checking into. It's a nice hotel with a great restaurant (Rumrunners) and IMHO,the best "happy hour" on the island.
You guys are awesome...thanks a bunch!
Alix
thanks guys you've been a huge help!
Meg and AliXXX, glad to help anyway I can!!
