Well, the time has come for out PMV! We will be on St Thomas on the 22nd of July. Our main focus will be to clarify if our upholstery business would benefit the island plus make it possible for us to financially live there. Any last minute advise or businesses to speak with would be greatly appreciated. A lot of prayer has gone into this audacious adventure and we are very excited to see how our visit will turn out. Again, thank you for all the support from our previous posts.

relax and enjoy the visit. check out the grocery stores, drive around and look at which areas look nice, talk to realtors. do normal everyday stuff, see how you like it. make sure you go to town on cruise ship day

That has been great information, and that is exactly what we have been doing. The road system freaks me out coming from a place that is quite flat. The driveways or lack of are incredible to see. My driveway is 600 feet and straight. We did go to the grocery store and it was pricey but way cheaper than eating out.
BUT, the people we have met are amazing!! We have talked too many business owners for the marinas and furniture stores. We have spoken with restaurant owners and people at the beach. Not one person has said our business is not needed here.
We are heading this morning to St John to talk with a marina owner there.

Not sure what marina is on STJ - the Westin Docks?? If you are talking to the group who thinks "Summers End" in Coral Bay is viable learn more about it before any commitment.
