All this light bulb talk makes me think about plant bulbs...
Does anyone know where to get bulbs on St. Thomas, or do you have to order them online ?
Also, do they grow well here ? I would think that cannas would love the heat... ?
If online ordering, what company ships here ?

www.directgardening.com will ship to the VI.. Haven't used them myself but came across them while doing research.. day lilies are supposed to do quite well here also...

I believe Daniel has cannas......he has a huge group of pictures of what he has and will be happy to send them to you - at the email provided by Yvonne above. I know he'd love to hear from you - he has some very rare exotics and rosebushes and all kinds of stuff - GREAT orchids - and he may be your best source.

On St. Thomas, Home Depot usually has a small selection. HD guarantees their plants to live for a year. I would ask if that includes bulbs, and save the receipt.
