Hi all!
Yet another question for the message board.....
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay for a short amount of time (while looking for an apartment or condo).
We are looking for something fairly inexpensive, and room enough for a couple.
Not totally sure where to stay on the island either...any suggestions on what would be the most convenient place to set up shop for a bit?
Again, thanks for all your advice!!
Brooke

Hi Donna,
If Brooke is not interested in your apartment, perhaps I would be, please follow up with any details...how long of a rental would you consider, price, location, and the dates it might be available. Thanks

It is a two bedroom with swimming pool located in Frenchman's Bay. Email me with dates and length of time and I can answer all your questions. I have rented from 3 days to 2 months. Would consider a longer rental. Just let me know what you are thinking of.

Hay,
Yes, I am looking to move to St. Thomas....would love to hear about Donna's two bedroom if it is still available.
We are looking to come down sometime the end of August.
Any info would be fabulous!
Thanks so much!

I to have a place you can rent. Mine is set up specifically with the newcomer in mind. There is no lease to sign, just a months commitment. Check my website at villafairview.com. I see people like you all the time! Just checked a couple in today with a dog!

Ronnie, I wish you had accomodations on STX instead of STT!

We'll be arriving on STX sometime during the first or second week of August. But making the arrangements is like playing pick-up stix:

We can't make airline, car rental, or temporary living arrangements until we know when the cars will be shipped.

We can't make the car arrangements until we're sure how long customs will need the cars. And we can't decide exactly when to leave home to drive to Miami until we hear from customs.

If we get the two cars and our junk to STX in one piece during the month of August, and we're still married, I'll consider the move a success.

Of course, we might be sleeping on the beach!!

Hey Donna,

Could you give me an idea what you have available on ST. Thomas, rental wise?
I am a single male looking for year around housing? I am especially interested in 1 bedrooms or studios and prefer month to month.....

Thanks,

Spence

Linda, there is a place in St. Croix that may fit your bill. Coff's Great House. Seems like it might work, you have to contact them thru Pamela McFadden of Re/Max St. Croix.
Your car should take 3 days to clear in the states, so plan on 10 days minimum to have it in STX.. Tropical ships from Riviera Beach which is north of West Palm. Crowley ships out of Ft. Lauderdale. Good luck

On St Croix there are "lots" of vacant condos available during August. The key is to get in touch with the right people. Use Ronnie's contact and also try to make some yourselves. This time of year you are in the driver's seat. It is just a matter of making the connection.

Ronnie and Bill, Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. We're assuming there will be pleanty available in August at a reasonable (!?!) price. I'm hoping we can get a year's lease.

Ronnie,
This couple you just rented to, how long do they plan on staying, Janet and I are still planning to arrive on STT sometime in June, or early July, just prior to our permanent move. Let me know, I would be interest in a months rental.

Gator.
