FInally got to culling, editing and uploading over 1800 pictures from a boat trip over to Jost and then Carnival last weekend. Sheese! I LOVED Jost, we went to the Indians and it was uuuhhhhmazing for a reef nut like myself. I think the best snorkeling ive done in the Caribbean. Was a blast swimming through the lava tubes too.

Carnival parade was also so much fun. We stayed for almost the entire thing starting at 11 and left at 6 when I burned through 2 camera batteries and both our Iphone batteries lol. So many BEAUTIFUL ladies!

I also added new pics to the STT and STJ galleries. Been busy!

Check em all out... of course this is only a small portion. www.adrianpoe.com

Great pics. You've been busy getting around the islands!

I shudder to think of all the birds that get plucked for these events (worldwide) and wonder if they recycle the feathers!
Of course, it won't do the birds they come from any good.

Don't fret too much Alama most of the feathers are dyed from chickens and turkeys, also then used for food. Being creative I am wanting to actually make a large headdress like the ones at carnival. Heck I'd like to make a big one and be in Carnival next year! What fun!

There are lots of feathers portrayed that don't come from chickens and turkeys..........just saying.
Maybe you could contact your favorite troupe to see if you can get any head-dresses they may want to discard.

Oh it's out of control speedy! We've got a bunch of yellow squash (at least 6 bigs ones and 2 more growing now) from it and all my peppers (jalapeños, tabasco, purple bell and red bells) are blooming so looking forward to that. My watermelon has several tiny melons growing but they seem to fall off before the get to the 2 inch size so I think more water. Yellow strawberries are getting big too but no fruit yet. I planted moneymaker tomatos and cherry bunch tomatos a couple weeks ago and they're coming along nicely. Cilantro, lemon basil, oregano and baby basil are also going crazy and the neighbors have all gotten bunches of those lol. I also pulled my bok choy up (we just don't eat it) and gave it to the neighbor who loves bok choy. Also planted broccoli couple weeks ago. Rough start but now it's jammin.

I've still got a caterpillar problem and now using the Organicide but it seems to be doing only an OK job. They're not infesting the lettuces anymore but I need to pull all the lettuce and replant as its getting older now, a bit bitter but I kinda like that in my salads. I noticed everything a couple weeks ago struggling a bit so added some happy from organic fertilizer and WHAT a difference! Nice rain today on NS, gotta love that. We've also got several banana trees that I covered with bird mesh and been snacking on those as they get ripe. Avacado tree is huge and lots of blooms and bees so hopefully get sum of dem too! 😉
