Piano(s) on STX?
Greetings Again, All.
I'm wondering about any bars/restaurants/hotels on STX that have (reasonably nice) pianos on site.
I've played the one at the Buccaneer... and was quite surprised at how well maintained/tuned it is (given how rough the island environment can be on ANYTHING with many moving parts, esp. those made of wood and metal). - I remember seeing a piano in a hotel lounge in Christiansted (but don't remember the name of the place) a few years back.
Anyone know of any others?
(And, always remember... you can't tuna fish, because the scales are not harmonic.)
(Thanks, I'll be here all week.) 😉

The Galleon has a piano in the bar area.
There's a good piano used for concerts at the Whim Museum on the West end of the island.
Keeping that piano at the Buccaneer in tune and dry is pratically a full time job. It has it's own "heating pad" to keep it comfy when not in use.
Thanks divinggirl and stxer1... I'll be checking out those two pianos in the coming weeks.
And Linda J - I recall the feeling that I was playing an instrument that was in 'semi-storage' when I played at the Buccaneer, as it was wrapped in what appeared to one of those 'moving blankets'. It did sound and play great, so whatever technique is used there, works very well.
Thanks again, all.

i though Tuttu Bene had a piano?
You are correct about the piano at Tutto Bene's.
Used to be one upstairs at commanche too but haven't been there in years. Also in the theater where the CCT puts on their plays.
