Dear East Ender:
Hello there! I am physically disabled, but am moving to getting back into providing psychotherapy on a very limited basis. I have never seen a position posted for this, but of course cannot cover every nook and cranny. If you ever hear of something in this arena, could you possibly let me know?
You always seem to be "in the know" and very resourceful. I have tried on MANY occasions to contact the school district, but have never received a return call. Next week I will be meeting with two groups, but I'm not sure what that will turn up.
I can only physically work about 1-2 hours per day, so I am looking more for quality than quantity. As I read your postings regularly, I figured that it couldn't hurt to 'put the word' out to you.
Thank you again,
Dan G.
have you contacted Country Day School etc -they had a wonderful school counsellor/therapist, who unfortunately passed a way - so.....
You might try Good Hope.
Dan: I do not have any contacts in the schools, but I do know that in all VI government offices, you will do best by going down and personally visiting with them. For some reason, they are hugely allergic to returning phone calls!!
I think that "twindomes" has recently returned to working as a counselor. Travelwoman said in a post that he had gone through the process of being accepted for a government opening of some kind if I remember right. Government openings often include all the assorted social programs and subsidized services, including public schools in some cases. He might be someone to ask about this, though, if he's just gone through the search himself.
Dear Alexandra:
Thank you so much. I do know who you are writing about, but had no idea of his name on the board. I really appreciate that fact that you collect and share so much information with others. You are also helpful rather than critical, which I think is so important on a board like this. Give the information, and let people make their own decisions whether or not to move. Never a 'barb' in your responses.
Again, thank you and if you could drop me a quick note at Affiliationllc@aol.com re: This is Alexandra, I seem to still have a continuous stream of PMVers that are looking for realtors. If I give you my address, I would like to put your card in an information book that I am compiling for guests.
Thank you again,
Dan G.
