Photographers!
I think the VI is underrepresented on some sights, and since U don't have anywhere near professional skills, I would like to see others post their photos on sites I think we are lacking representation.
This site was in an issue if Popular Photography. It's a great concept and I'd love to see some VI photos.

Afar Magazine also doesn't have an Ambassador for the VI. I discovered the magazine this weekend in PR. PR has at least 2 ambassadors, but I didn't see any for VI. If nobody is interested, I'll start posting to this site, but I already get lectures for participating in online forums, so don't want to add another to my volunteer work.
I'll join and post some pics. I've started a Facebook album called bugs in my bathroom. I get some wicked cool critters in there. My newest resident is a bright yellow jewel box spider. Bad pic - he is fast lol.
I love his smiley face!
i was going to say AandA is a good photographer.
like your spider too
I don't get the website. How do you join this and is it only isolated critters? Sorry its confusing to me and seems like work vs fun.
AandA is an outstanding photog. If they aren't doing it professionally, she should.
Hey thanks Mike! 😀
Sigh. It was over my head, too, but it seemed like a worthy cause. I couldn't see her photo on my phone so maybe I'll break down and use my laptop.
I think the requirements are similar to museum or scientific standards, so it's kind of a way of trying new techniques, IMO. I do have some beautiful bugs in my house from time to time, but not often enough to participate in this project. It would be nice if somebody in the VI would participate.
Right now I'm working on a Christmas slide show, so if anybody knows of unique decorations, let me know. The Snow on the Mountain bush is a hard one to capture creatively for me.
OIC - LOL I don't have any time for that nonsense. I just like to take cool photos of stuff I like and sell them once in a while. ;D
Not to mention they want you to pay fees to put up YOUR photos??? LOL. Ok.
Fees???!! I didn't see that part. Let me go back and read it carefully. I just found out about this magazine when I was in PR for Thanksgiving, and did a quick Google search and people raved about it (well, all but one). They have "Ambassadors" for PR, but none for VI, so I thought we were step child. Most of the Ambassadors are also photographers or popular bloggers which limits the potential Ambassadors. If they're not paying them, then why bother? TripAdvisor doesn't pay, either for the Destination Experts, but they do send nice gifts every year, and anybody can nominate someone.
TripAdvisor also has a bigger impact on businesses because of its size. Afar may have a more upscale niche, though.
"Partner with a local conservation NGO (or another organisation sympathetic to MYN’s goals) who pays your fees and has use of your work to promote awareness and appreciation of neighborhood wildlife"
Theres also a second paragraph that talks about them supporting you. I don't know if my stuff is good enough but I went ahead and emailed them so we will see.
I decided to go ahead and play around with some of my existing pics. Kinda cool. I definitely fit the bill as I LOVE all wildlife so much. Except Ants. Cant stand em.

What do you mean by this??? What kind of "decorations" are you looking for? What do you mean "snow on the bush"... is my stateside showing or am I missing something??
Decorations with a tropical theme or comical. Snow on the Mountain is a bush that produces white flowers during the winter months and that's what I've heard it referred to.
Are there any decorations at Hull Bay?
