PHONE CALLS TO THE STATES

Calls to the US are the same as state-to-state calls.

If you have a LD package from Innovative they charge you $0.07 per minute for calls.

I use my nationwide cell plan from Congular and there is no additional cost for LD.

This works so well that I have all my phones in my villa wired into a fixed base cell phone and use this set up for almost all my calling.

My goal is not having to give the bandits at Innovative a dime.

DL is correct that call to/from the VI are the same for stateside calls.
Also, not sure if you have a cell, but Sprint offers 50 mins free on your land line if you have a cell with them. Therefater, it is only .05c per minute.

Another interesting aspect of calling the states... 1-800 numbers. Because Innovative does not have enough circuits for all the calls they must handle, they shed calls to 800 numbers if there is a local call to connect. That means if you try to call out to an 800 number, it can be busy FOREVER, but in fact is deliberately not being connected by Innovative. Of course, they will blame it on the Puerto Rico exchange, or some other nonsense. My insiders tell me otherwise. Like Jim Dandy said...BANDITS!

Based on my last bill from them I believe that they also charge a $0.15 fee for connecting an 800 call. It has never been worthwhile to me to call and find out what certain miscellaneous charges were for, but if I read their bill correctly that is what they are charging me for.

I don't know if works from there, but try 1010987. I use that to call down to the islands as well as Europe. Rates are from 3 -5 cents a minute.

Small world, we are from NC and winter in STX, Walmart phone card works same as in NC $.05 a min, haven't had any problems calling the 800 access number.
