Our family is looking to move to St. Croix this summer to be closer to my wife's family in Puerto Rico. I am a pharmacist and am looking to obtain a job before we move. I understand the hesitation of employers to consider statesiders , but in order for us to move I must know that I have a job waiting. I have applied to Gov. Juan Louis Hosp. and Golden Rock pharmacy, but have not had any luck yet. I should mention that I would be happy to come and interview. Any leads or advise would be welcome. Thanks

One of my former renters was a pharmacist at K-Mart West.
They were statesiders, but they (K-Mart) didn't seem to mind hiring him at all!! He was very good at his job.
From what I understand, he didn't like island life but she liked it. He won out so they left...I am sorry for that...they were great assets to this island and the community he lived in. Maybe, maybe he didn't like the drive from the eastside, but I doubt it. Traffic wasn't bad when he commuted and he seemed to find comfort in the South seaside drive views. She seemed to love it.
They are sorely missed...

That would be my husband Betty refers to - former pharmacist on STX. Give me a shout back, I think there are lots of posts on this board, but we'd be glad to tell you what we know.
Hi Betty! Thanks for the kind words...miss you and the puppers and the husband, too. Maybe I'll get back this summer, life is crazy!
