Peter's Rest New Dentist
There is a new Dentist office in Peter's Rest, East of "Cost You Less"? Does anyone know the name of Dentist and if someone has any experience with the Dentist?
I think it is a female and name of Janice??
Thank you.
You probably want to fly off island for high quality and cost effective dental care. Most of the dentists here use aging tools and equipment. That's not to say they're all bad but most of them are very costly and I haven't seen any with modern technology. Besides any advanced work such as crown molds gets outsourced to off island labs and takes weeks to get back.

Maybe you should be looking for some good referrals as I don't think that's true at all. Which island are you referring to and how many dentists have you been to to come to such a conclusion? Just curious.
What I stated is fairly accurate. Dr. Werth for instance is highly regarded in St. Thomas but he's expensive and he does use older equipment. And just about anywhere you go, advanced work is sent off island for processing as I said. I just don't do dental care in St. Thomas. I get better quality work stateside from my own dentist at a rate that is significantly less with onsite solutions for just about everything and the latest technology in dentistry. I of course only schedule my dentist appointments when I have already planned to be in the states.

So you slander every Dentist in the VI because one doctor uses older equipment...in your opinion?
The question was does anyone know this new Dentist on St. Croix....Where we have 3 new Dentist offices open up in the past year.

Interesting. I've lived here for close to 30 years, know many of the dentists here and this is the first I've heard of the "highly regarded" Dr. Werth. Just goes to show. So do you know anything about the new dentist on the block on STX to pass on to the OP?

Rocky, I wasn't disputing the fact that he's here at all, just hadn't heard of him. Seems he's been registered here since 2008 but maybe he changed practices and re-registered under a new facility. I was just questioning the poster who made a very generalized comment about dentists in the USVI. 😀
Quality dental work is available on STX; most all dental offices send their work to a lab, even stateside.
Check around before you make such broad statements.
My husband and I go to Dr. Kurt Buska in Gallows Bay. New office, updated equipment, great dentist!
Interesting info!
Does anyone have any experience with a good dentist or prosthodontist (preferably on Stx, but Stt is ok too), for crowns and abutments for implants?
I'd really appreciate it!
Dr manuel at Dr Kenses just did some major work for me, very good. Look under St croix dental clinic
Dr Buska in Gallows Bay...brand new office and equipment. And, a great dentist.
I second the recommendation of Dr. Buska. Brand new office, new technology, and a great guy with a wonderful family. He has given us excellent care, comparable to my dentist (also with new technology) in the States.
