Hey everyone! I'm wondering where the best place is for pet supplies. We are moving to STT in a couple weeks with our cat and we will need to buy her a litterbox and litter pretty immediately after we arrive since it'll be a long flight and she's not an outdoor kitty. I appreciate your advice!

K-Mart.

Plus there are a couple of other pet supply places you can check out once settled in but they tend to be pricier. Cat food is available at all grocery stores but not litter/box. Just depends on brands you prefer.
Welcome and good luck getting settled in.

IF LITTER PRETTY IS A SPECIAL ITEM NOT FOUND in the local stores on stt, you might be able to find it at petco.com

We get the litter from cost u less. The big 50lb bag. It's $15 a bag and is good stuff. Keeps the smell down but we broke down and got an electronic litterbox lol! it's pretty sweet and funny - it has a poop conveyor.

which electronic kitty litter box did you get, how long have you had it, does it take special litter and have you had any problems?

Who knew? Poop conveyor!
I have dogs and feed stray cats that always remain out of dog's domain.

Didn't see cat litter at CUL but was not looking for it. I do trap and spay the cats I feed, thanks to Lucky Paws and their ongoing Spay and Neuter programs.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone! AandA2VI, I'd also like to know more about the electronic litter box. The poop conveyor sounds amazing lol.

The only drawback to the electronic litter boxes is that if you don't have generator power they aren't going to perform too well in any power outages.

The super lightweight Arm and Hammer "Essentials" litter (available at KMart) is the answer to my prayers. No more lugging impossibly heavy boxes of litter and this product LASTS. My four are indoor/outdoor (always in at night, curfew at 9:30PM!) and generally use it once each during the night. One 9 lb bag lasts me (no exaggeration) three months - twice as long as that other heavy clay-based litter which tracks everywhere. KMart carries another brand which I used first when I tried the switch but trial and error proved this one far superior.

Another hint - once a month Revolution (good prices at online Petco) does the trick for fleas, ticks, roundworms, heartworm and ear mites.

Good luck with the move!

The KMart I go to doesn't have the unscented (yet?) but the one I use has a very pleasant natural scent which works for me. If you prefer the unscented it's probably available online on such as Amazon.
