I am reposting this for Leeann. Ronnie I saw you mentioned buying bird food so thought you might have some insight into her question. Thanks. --Islander

She asked:

"hello all, what about birds??? I have a large blue/gold macaw and was going to bring him down. thought that he would enjoy being out side in his cage but if that might be a problem with bug bites and deadly infections then I won't bring him. thanks, LeeAnn"

Don't know anything about bug bites, but there are plenty of macaws and parrots here so I doubt there is a problem.

Thanks you two, I have had the bird for 10 years and really don't want to part with him. I guess I will have to make the final decision once we find out exactly where we will be living. Thanks, LeeAnn
