Pellet Guns?
Are pellet guns legal in the VI? I don't feel like going through the hassle of bringing my Glock down there, so would a pellet gun be a good alternative?
Depends on what you want it for. Maybe it's a good alternative for shooting chickens, but for self-defense that's kind of silly.
I imagine the VIPD treats pellet guns the same as an actual pistol, so you probably have to jump through all the hoops of getting it registered and legal.

Unless I'm mistaken, the USVI treats pellet guns the same as they do rifles, shotguns, & pistols. Therefore you have to go through a gun training class, get it registered, etc. Pellet guns are considered weapons.
Weird situation. Statute-wise, they are written as firearms. That being said, I had a lawyer who has lived here his whole life tell me he was 100% certain they are not considered firearms.
Your call, Im getting my fully auto 1200 round per minute bb gun down here soon though 😀
Mine shoots 1100 fps. I consider it a weapon.
Never mind will just mail the Glock down there in pieces!
I purchased one and had no paperwork. But then it was stolen! No justice.

If there is any incident with the pellet gun, the cops and courts will call it a weapon. They will do as they please with little regard to written laws. If you are a relative of the cop or judge (many islanders are related), you may get a get out of jail free card. If not, well------ Keep a low profile whatever you decide.
or get in some good stab wounds before they bleed out, LOL
JUST KIDDING!
