FYI to all other suffering asian food aficionados:

The newspaper today has a blurb on the folks spearheading the Asian fusion rest. at the Grand Hotel.

They are also doing a martini bar called "Wax" that sounds delightful. Can't wait til I stop breastfeeding!

Wow, Onika! Great minds and all that. Just mentioned this in a PM to you!

And surely you know that Virgin Islands babies drink rum early! 😉

(And yes, I know your name isn't Shirley!) ROFL

Hello Onika,

For sure a get together at Pangea to watch you enjoy the foods you so often write about craving is a must. 😉

Hope you, baby and dad are doing well.

I just re-read the article. The restaurant in the Grand Hotel, scheduled to open in November, is to be named The Atrium. It will offer "global cuisine," including Indian, Thai, Chinese and certain West Indian dishes.

These guys, who just opened a martini bar called Wax, are working on a gameroom upstairs from Wax called Q, to be open in 3 weeks . Pangea is a dance club that is to be in the old Liz Claiborne space, opening by the end of summer.

The article ends saying these businesses are expected to employ about 100 people. What is that old saying about put all your eggs in one basket and then watch the basket!?

Thanks for the correction East Ender. Where is the old Liz Claiborne space?

Sorry for the booboo, I didn't have the paper in front of me.

I'm telling you, November can't come soon enough for me!

Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Chicken Tandoori, masala...I could go on!!!

Anyone have contact info (phone number, fax, whatever) for Wax? Or for that matter, any of these new places?

Mmmm...Indian! Thai! I miss them so!

Best,
LR
