Pack of Pitt Bulls Killing Dogs and Goats at Ha Penny
We heard about this on the radio Wednesday. Anyone know if the pack of dogs are still there. Some of the radio callers indicated that the caretakers dog at Ha Penny Beach Club was killed by the pack and a number of goats on the South Shore road.
The feral dogs on the East end of St. Croix are not pit bulls. They are a mix of strays of all breeds. Last year I managed to get pictures and gave them to Animal Control. A few look like African wild dogs.
wow, I was just down there with my puppy walking around. glad we didn't see them. hope they don't find any turtles/
After reading this thread, and encountering two roaming (but non-aggressive) Rottweilers on my walk the other day, I decided to read up on preventing and defending against dog attacks. Some of the info is conflicting, but most of it seems good.

Now you know why many Crucians walk with a stick. One guy on Midland Rd always carried a golf iron.
