Subtropical Storm Otto is hundreds of miles east of the VI, but it's moving slowly to the northeast. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

I can imagine that those who have cisterns are seeing their levels rise.

At the same time, the storm has cost at least one life and a great deal of damage.

Hurricane Season is not yet ended.

Sure is going the wrong way!!! Another band hitting us right now.

Our cistern has been overflowing for the past few months.
Hard to say how much clean water has been wasted down the hill from the overflow. Thousands of gallons just this week.
Our capacity is 30,000 gallons. Enough rain already!!!

Look again. Otto is not to our east. The northeast motion simply means that it is recurving out into the open Atlantic. That would be a good thing.

Or NE motion could mean we are getting it from the SW. Wrong way. LOL

Look again. Otto is not to our east.

More precisely, northeast: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at2.shtml?5-daynl#contents
