Options for medical/ health/ dental insurance?

Just wondering my options for some insurance in stx. Would love to here my options

From what I understand it is pretty much not available in less you find a job where it is offered

There aren't any unless your employer provides it or you belong to a professional association that offers it as a member perk (bar association used to offer).

It's one of the major drawbacks of moving here. We're not covered under the ACA and, unless you can find an employer who'll offer coverage, you'll have to find individual coverage which of course is expensive. I'm sure others can come up with some names of carriers you can approach for quotes.

If you or your spouse have citizenship from another country, you can get very affordable insurance through Cigna Global and other similar expat providers. My wife is American and I'm Canadian. We have Cigna Global and are very happy with the coverage and low premiums.
