Insure it.
You all need to learn how to internet. I stated 3 or 4 times already in this thread what you need to do with Amazon. 85% of the time, a less than 10 minute chat online will get me my shipping back no hassle. The other 15% wait a few and go and try again with another ali baba and it is resolved quickly. Cannot speak for Wallyworld or Buy busted.
Is it a matter of free shipping or any shipping? There are some items on BB, Amazon, and Walmart (their items, not marketplace) that for whatever reason they won't ship to VI, free or otherwise.
That there I would imagine, is half or better of the complaints on this subject.

Probably so and one of the Amazon reps in the last go-around suggested I should do so. However, due to circumstances beyond my control it's difficult right now for me to talk at length on the telephone. But thank you for the internet lesson.
"To beat a dead horse a little bit more: there is no free Amazon PRIME shipping here. (I did get verification about a week ago from Amazon that this hasn't changed , since another poster said there was). There is only free Super Saver shipping if your Amazon fulfilled items total $35 or more."
I received an email from Amazon letting me know I hd been charged for shipping however as an Amazon Prime member I should not have been so they had refunded my shipping charge back to my credit card for all purchases - so Yes we DO have Prime here 🙂
Pia
Intriguing. So, I called Amazon today, and was told, yet again, that the policy hadn't changed and that charges would apply. I'm not going to take the chance of winning the refund lottery that seems to have occurred with you. But the next time I beat the horse, I'll just stick to saying that some of us do not have Prime here.

Not sure about Pia's comment but there is no affiliation or difference if you have a Prime account.
Once again:
items sold by and full filled by Amazon
must be eligible for shipping to the VI
MUST choose STANDARD shipping
Purchase must be $35.00 or over. If one item is not eligible to ship here in your order, you will be charged for shipping of that item and will probably waste more time than you want arguing. Keep all eligible items in one order make another for the rest.
Wait until item has shipped, online chat, argue with 1-3 reps get refund applied and ask for email to confirm.
Enough free repeat lessons. Happy shopping

I'll try that next time around. The advantage to email is that there's a fileable trail if push comes to shove!

JHC!! Stop! Just . . . stop!! Please.
We were discussing PRIME. Just P-R-I-M-E. I have stated in almost every post that I get the Super Saver shipping technique. I have even used it successfully. I have also stated that my purpose for posting was that didn't want anyone wasting money on a PRIME membership because they think they will be guaranteed free PRIME shipping. It's really not hard to understand. Did I mention we were discussing PRIME? Good grief!
lol

Unless we're not. Title and original post were neither Amazon nor Prime specific.
But with that said, yes, need to apply comments and discussion appropriately to whether there are regarding Prime or not. Let's keep that distinction clear.
You can keep an electronic copy of the chat. I have done that.
Chat sessions I've had trying to plea for free (non-Prime) shipping were painful and lengthy. I had better results with e-mail myself. Also, with chat you are typically debating with one CSA. With e-mail you are almost guaranteed to have someone different read and response to each one.
I'm having problems with Best Buy honoring Free Shipping to Stt. It's a Home Theater System. I guess I have to speak to a manager. It is from their site and not from one of their subsidiaries.

It seems like a matter of shipping the item to Stt. Sorry, I should've been more clear. If BB will ship a large screen tv to Stx as posted above, I thought I wouldn't have a shipping problem with a home theater system (Blu-ray player and speakers).
Guess I'm going to ship it to a friend/relative in the states and they'll ship it to me.
I got it all straightened out. BB is shipping the above item free to Stt as per their policy.
Now just hope it arrives with no problems or damage.
What kind of delivery date estimate did you get? I'm guessing about a month from now.

My original response - waaaaaaay back - was to someone who posted that he/she had seen an indication on an Amazon shopping page that he/she might be able to get free shipping via PRIME membership. I answered that post specifically, that, with respect to PRIME, that was not the case. Later in this thread another poster indicated that that was not true for PRIME. So I again specifically responded to that post in terms of PRIME. Recently, the poster came back and indicated that she had gotten a refund on a PRIME purchase because she was a PRIME member. So I made another call to Amazon thinking the policy had changed, and posted the results, specific to her post, here.
It fits just fine with the topic of the page - free shipping. Yet every single time I respond to another poster who specifically mentions PRIME, I get condescending responses about Super Saver. shipping, which has been covered ad nauseum. Every. Single. Time. My responses had nothing to do with Super Saver shipping, any more than the responses to Super Saver posts have to do with PRIME. It's approaching troll status. If you aren't interested in this particular free shipping sub-topic, just move on.

On the BB order status it states estimated date of delivery February 23, but I'm not holding my breath. I know better.
I haven't receive the email with tracking info as of yet, but watching progress on order status information.
I just hope I receive it with no problems or damage.

If they ship UPS to USPS for final delivery, look in the UPS tracking
Additional Information for Package Identification Code. That will be your USPS tracking #. The USPS tracking will eventually find it's way back into the UPS tracking record but usually not until final delivery. Good luck.

Thanks. Scubadoo!!!
I think I dealt with that kind of shipping once or twice before from different companies.
PSA; Amazon has now raised the free /super saving or what ever you all want to call it from $35.00 to $49.00. Same rules apply. That is all. End PSA
That sucks. And apparently no notification. Wasn't that long ago they raised it to $35. Might as well shop at Walmart then.

Agree with you, Scubadoo.
Sometimes though one has to use Amazon or another online retailer for an item(s) that Walmart doesn't sell. Catch 22.

Yes this does not mention us. Never has. Still the same rules other than the book thing.

Except it says this: "You can ship to a U.S. delivery address in the 50 states only."

I really do not know why I entertain you.
As I said it does NOT mention us nor has it ever in the past. If you can not get it in your head that it never will and you have to call or chat to enlighten the reps that we are also eligible for your "free super shipping" or whatever you want to call it, then I pity whomever taught you reading comprehension. Enough of your trolling.

Well, you're actually right on 2 things.
1. It does not mention us, as you indicated. But since we are not part of the "50 states only", that means we are excluded, and are getting this perk as a courtesy, employee incompetence or laziness, and/or precedent. Ask any lawyer (I've asked 2), someone with an English degree, or with a successful career based on researching and analyzing written text, and/or one where logic was critical. Reading comprehension, indeed!
2. I am mildly entertained by your insistence on displaying an apparent lack of competent cognition skills, as well as some reading comprehension burps of your own. I love irony.
I will continue to correct and supplement incorrect or incomplete info I find on this board, as well as comment on info and opinions I disagree with, when I feel like it. If you consider that trolling, then I'm in good company.
