Sooo, I am having a hard time finding an area that is consistently occupied with current time discussions/etc. that caters not only to travelers, but local discussion about relocating the the Islands. Am I looking in the wrong spot? Or is that not really a platform that is available at this time? Perhaps live chat/messenger options to communicate with? If anyone knows of a forum topic that is consistently popular with up to date info & conversation please let me know. Anything I've seen is well over weeks old & for information to be the most current, needs to be constant.

I think maybe you’re asking a “chicken or the egg” type question. I’ve found this forum useful if not hugely frequented. From the perspective of someone learning the in’s and out’s of moving to St. Croix, I’ve looked at almost everything I can find using google as well as some interesting YouTube videos.
While I haven’t found a single definitive source, I think given the small population in the USVI’s it’s not surprising, if you dig around enough and have a little patience you can get most questions answered. I will offer that the active members of this blog have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they have been happy to share.

This used to be a very active forum for relocation question but a while back the powers that be changed the format and ever since then newbies seem to have stop coming by to post questions.
There are still quite a few long time members who are active participants on the forum and who will gladly reply to any relocation questions you may have. All you have to do is ask.
Also, if you search the archives you’ll find 10,000’s of threads covering every conceivable relocation topic and question you may have and hundreds more topics you probably haven’t thought of yet.
So, if you want to know something just post a question. You’ll get plenty of helpful answers.

These are terms rarely used here. Delays are commonplace due to power outages, internet loss, interrupted cell service, amongst other things. Patience is the most important thing you’ll need here.

Maybe I am a bit skewed on live chat/messenger options but that just doesn't seem to be a Virgin Island way of life.
I do see an active Facebook page 'whatsgoingonstthomas' that gets quite a bit of participation but also seems very negative often about "moving to the VI" questions.
This forum will certainly answer your moving questions with solid info from residents willing to help, but finding a constant, current, chat type option may not exist?

As the others have stated, there's plenty of information here and even though old, still holds true. There are some great members here with great information. Ask away, you will get a response. Search it as well. I always come to this site when I need factual, actual truth. I'm on facebook as well and most of the posters do not even live on the island (STX) and you'll never get the depth of conversation and quality of conversation as you can here, imo.
