I miss the old airport. At least, they had chairs to sit on at the arrival gates!
I can really relate to that second video. My first trip to St Thomas was on CaribAir in August 1962. The landing was memorable because the pilot aboarted on final approach, pulled up and came around for a second attempt. Lived on the hill overlooking the runway, drove a VW Bug, paid a quarter to swim at Lindberg beach, and could get beer from a vending machine for a quarter also. Oh, those were the "good old" days.

When I moved here the vending machine beers had increased to 50 cents, Lindbergh was free but I had a VW bug and thought the airport was perfectly efficient--- love all the old pics and video
The VW was the car of choice. I had one, too!
