Does anyone know what the daily newspaper was called in the 70's? My grandfather lived in STT from about 1967 to 1978 and we understand he wrote an article for the local paper called "Poor Richard". His name was Richard "Dick" O'Donnell. Do you know if there are archives of the old papers and how we could get copies? We will be in STT in June sort of as a tribute to him. Thanks for any info.

Hello,

I would suggest you go to the Daily News web site http://www.virginislandsdailynews.com/ , you can email them from that site and ask about the article. There is an archive at the Newspaper, perhaps you can call the office, the number is on the web site, and ask for this department. I did this once for some information they wanted to know what day the picture I was looking for was published. So they will probally want the same information - the date of the newspaper that your grandfathers article was in. But you could try contacting them to see what they say.
