No World Series on Dish?Anyone know why?

No world series on Dish fox channel 150.Anyone have any information?

My guess, until the expert (Sky's The Limit) chimes in, is that Dish Network would not pay Fox's price to re-broadcast the World Series.

That's what happened.

To view the series here you need to call Dish's 800 number and order their Latino Dos package. Cancel the package when the aeriesis over.

It past years the reason has been is that when Fox buys the rights for the WS and playoff baseball they only buy the rights for the 50 US states.

The FOX channel that Dish picks up in the Caribbean doesn't purchase the rights so some other station in PR ends up with the WS.

The Puerto Rico FOX affiliate that Dish provides the Virgin Islands, does not have the rights to air the World Series. As SpecialK above has said, Dish subscribers need to call Dish at 1-800-894-9131 and request the Latino Dos package be added to their programming. FOX Deportes is airing the games only thru the Latino pack. When the series is over, call Dish and cancel. Happens every year.
