Is there any Nextel provider in STT? Cause I still have a year and a Half left on my contract it is a satelite connection I would suspect there would be.

Hey - there is no Nextel service at all. I just switched to Cingular for my move. I think sprint also has service.

Hello!, Did you get Cingular before you moved down with a 340 area code? or when you got there? We are going down in about 3 weeks and not sure if we should get the service before we leave.

When we went ot STT last year and STX this year, we had no service what-so-ever on our Nextels! With the Sprint merger, whenever that happens, you should be able to use it off of Sprints towers. WE're switching to Cingular just to be safe. Plus we heard they have better coverage down there.

I actually got my service in NJ so I don't have a local area code yet but will switch it once I get down there. I did use my phone in May when we were down there condo shopping and the service was great. no problems!
