New Year's Eve
Not that the idea is original, but are there any beaches open at night? My boyfriend and I will be flying in on 12/31 and after a long day of travel, it would be nice to do something quiet and special that evening. It will be his first time seeing our new apartment and the island. Actually, I'll be there in a couple of weeks so I thought I'd go ahead and decorate for New Year's before I return to FL for the holidays.
Any ideas?

PS
That would be for STT.
Thanks!
Hello S,
All beaches are open at night... what did you have in mind - a beach with a restaurant on it, a non-resort beach, doesn't matter, picnic on the beach, also how late???

Gosh, I suppose I hadn't really thought about the details. I think by the time we get in from the airport and get cleaned up it will probably be close to dinner time. I suppose somewhere with a restaurant would be nice as there won't be much to eat in the house! It doesn't have to be too fancy. Just somewhere we can relax that's sort of quiet. Perhaps be able to stroll down to the beach after dinner if we wanted to.
Thanks!
MorningStar, Secret Harbour, and BlueBeards come to mind.
Hello S,
I just noted you said 12/31... New Years Eve... you will need to make reservations and expect to pay more then the usual dinner cost as almost all restaurants here have a special New Years Eve dinner... and it usually is set - like the dinner options are set, party favors, glass of champagne...reservations are a must, Richard's suggestion of Secret Harbor is good - the restuarant there is Blue Moon Cafe - you can call and ask if you need to make reservations and what they have planned. Banana Tree Grill at Bluebeards usually does a nice New Years Eve - again call ahead of time.

Thanks. Although I've heard of and would like to try the places you've mentioned, this is sort of a last minute thing and I'm sure we won't be up for much. Perhaps we can grab something simple from the grocery to prepare at home. Then we'll head down to the beach for a walk. Gosh, I must be getting old! haha
Thanks!
