New Restaurant on Northshore STX
Hi all! A new restaurant opened on the Northshore yesterday (Sunday) called Rowdy Joe"s. I drove past and they seemed to be busy. Does anyone know what kind of menu? Has anyone been yet?
The owners are a couple who also had a successful restaurant on St.John called 10 Tables. He's a Chef, she's a server. She was a server at Salud and he cooked at Bacchus for a while. I think (don't quote me) they're trying to keep the food nice, simple, and bar like but he has potential to do amazing and fancy food! They're great folks, go check em out!
I wish them nothing but success and plan on visiting on Sundays!

Went last night for a drink, there menu was up on the board. They had Asian Ribs, Turkey Pot Pie, fish taco's etc. Lots of salads and apps.
They also make homemade icecream. I had a homemade ice cream sandwich when they were open for Mardi Croix. It was amazing.
The owners are nice, hard working people.
I believe they are open for lunch and dinner.
Enjoy!
I'm trying to get it in my mind where this restaurant is exactly... Did it take the place of an old restaurant on North shore or what? What's it close to?
If you are on Northshore road heading west from Salt River it is just before you turn right at the Corner Shop toward Cane Bay. It is a white building on your right. I believe it was once a dive shop.
Oh, where N2theBlue was. I did drive by there and saw the sign for homemade ice cream.
Thanks Noah and MG for the info
Ok,got it now. Thank you!
They have Dishnetwork satellite tv too!
Can't wait to check it out! I saw it on my way to Cane Bay for Mardi Croix. Hey...if they come from Salud and Bacchus I will definately check it out! Salud is my fave place on island:) Homemade ice cream sounds fabulous!

Luckygirl56, you go to a restaurant to watch TV? First time I've ever heard of someone judging a restaurant on whether they have TV or not.
sounds like a sports fan!
Stopped in at Rowdy Joes last night with a few friends. Had the steak tacos and they were off the chart delicious! Homemade shells, guacamole, and salsa. They are buying the produce locally from farmers whenever possible.
Had the pumpkin and butterscotch homemade ice cream for dessert. Very tasty!
Saw butternut squash soup with bacon wrapped scallops on the board but didn't try it. Sounds good though!!
Very laid back atmosphere. Dart board, good music playing, plans for horseshoe pits soon I hear.
Fun place!
Yumm... I want to try this new place out. It sounds fantastic. Anyone have phone number and hours of operation?
Noon till midnight 6 days a week. Closed Wednesdays.
It's great that one restaurant on the North Shore will be open late.
i had the blackened asian style fish tacos last night, very good,i was surprised to see the menu was original with no deep fried bar food or burgers, and not things you can get anywhere, refreshing to see one of a kind stuff
i had the caprese last night and they let me leave off the pesto/pinenuts and have a balsamic reduction instead, just wonderfull, the place is only 2 blocks from my house so i can work my way through the menu
Driving near Cane Bay my family of 3 adults and 2 kids noticed Rowdy Joe's and checked out the restaurant on this website. We were intrigued by the favorable reviews and had dinner there last night. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous! We sampled a wide variety of dishes including appetizers, entrees and desserts. The butternut squash soup was primo! The antipasto was wonderful as was the caprese salad. Even the black bean soup, standard restaurant fare, was way above average. And the homemade ice cream was out of this world. We're looking forward to a return visit.
