A new restaurant in five corners where church's was? What's the name, what's the cuisine, what's the price?

I pass by it every day and finally I couldnt resist. I asked the guy at the auto parts store next to it. He said its a fast food chain called Leo's World Famous. They sell Wings, Tenders & Fish. They're combos average $5. It's scheduled to open Dec. 15. I will be away, so if anybody tries it, please post. I'm tired of McDoo Doo for that price.

seem like businesses don't last long at that location, damn shame too cause it is a prime location

hopefully its a company owned store... franchisees in the vi tend to cut corners, same is applicable to big boxes like mcdoo doo, kfc, dominos and especially pizza hut.

hmm...you may be onto something as to why businesses fail. Those big boxes you mention have been well established on St. Croix for years. Papa Johns didn't last long at all and that surprised me.

I remember when there was a Pizza Hut in downtown Christiansted. It was was a great atmosphere.

where was papa john's located?

I was referring to my experience at church's. they modified the recipe and a couple months later they went out of business. i don't know how kfc stays open. i bought some slaw from there about a week ago, got home and discovered that it was spoiled. mcd's quality is always questionable, but what isn't is their price. they've got good pricing. dominos had good pricing until caesars came to town. i bet sales have dropped 50% or more since then.

i live in princess and i'm hoping that leo's turns out to be a gem, i could use some good and reasonably priced goods.

The guy who had the Papa John's had the franchise rights for a good part of the Caribbean and was trying to open many stores on several different islands at once. He over-extended himself, ran out of cash and went bankrupt.

Franchise store have a hard time. What with the competition, WAPA, and the high fees that have to be paid to the parent company it is very hard to make it!

Ditto the franchise in STT at Tutu. I rarely eat fried chicken but was driving by there some months ago, got a craving and grabbed a quick bite there to take home. It was inedible and even my neighbor's dog who was a real chow hound took one sniff and walked away in disgust!

Interesting, i figured that the name sounded familiar. I used to buy chef leo's world famous french fry seasoning when i was on the mainland.
