Opened Sunday. Looks promising. Same owners as Greengo's in town. Haven't seen full menu yet, because they hadn't been printed when I passed by yesterday. They even have smoked tofu on the menu.

The Smoking Rooster.

I assume you mean where in Havensight. I don't give directions, because it's too confusing. But, it's down from Gourmet Gallery.

Um, there's more than one fountain. There's the Mermaid fountain on the other side.

They're at end past Gourmet Gallery.
Easy to find.
Stopped for some take out.
Menus still not not printed.
Ordered ribs and brisket with potatoes salad and brisket beans.
I asked if it came with BBQ sauce. Bartender said yes.
30 minutes later, got my to go order.
Luckily, checked it before paying and leaving.
No sauce and got brisket and pulled pork. No ribs.
Waited to get my 3 small ribs.
Don't use the hot bbq sauce they have as while I like hot and spicy, this was basically just macerated hot peppers.
The bbq sauces, nothing special.
Potato salad was a bit vinegary and had macaroni in it and peas and very small portion.
Not bad but not the greatest.
The brisket was very good, nice flavour, very tender and moist.

I haven't gotten to the ribs or beans yet but ribs are small and look very dry. The jalapeno cornbread is dry, hard and fairly tasteless. Doesn't smell like cornbread.

They do have recyclable take out containers!

Eat outside as the enclosed portion has a tin ceiling and is acoustically loud. Conversations heard from tables away.
I'll see how ribs and beans turn out.
Hopefully, they'll get better.

Thanks for the review! The restaurant is down by the Christmas tree which now covers the fountain.

I ate there yesterday and it was great! $16 for two types of meat or tofu for vegetarians, 2 sides and cornbread. Their coleslaw is really good and I found the jalapeño cornbread to be tasty. My whole group loved it!

I didn't like the cornbread at all. Too dry.

No. Theirs is dry, hard and not sweet at all. Didn't have much corn flavour either but you had a hint of jalapeno.
I was disappointed but we all have different tastes.

If you like sweet, moist cornbread, Pueblo carries a brand by
j. skinner that one of the best cornbreads I've ever tasted.
It's in the first isle towards the end where they have bakery products.
Not the muffins. It's in a square see thru plastic container.
This is the Pueblo across from Gas Giant.
I have become addicted to it.
If you like it warm, microwave for 25 seconds and butter up!
Good ting, meeson.

Actually I liked the cornbread, the brisket was excellent, as we're the ribs. I agree that they looked a little small, but pork ribs cut out of the rack usually do. The beans were great. The homemade pickles were great.
Sauces, take them or leave them. Same for the coleslaw. The potato salad was great as well. Barbecue and the sides taste very different depending on where your from.
Service was good, the outside dining area was friendly and great.
I'm going back again (tu)
