I make the move next month and will be on STT for 6 months or so (possibly longer). Ive done some research on short term rentals...being Pirates Cove, and Villa Fairview, In all honesty I haven't had the help or cooperation from either of these that I was expecting. Ive searched all over the web for apartments, even at that its difficult to rely on very little info and very little pics. Any advice or suggestions, and or where I might search for some better results.

I have a studio that I rent out on a short or long term basis. It is being vacated 2/24. You can see pictures at www.stthomasvirginisland.com

Gentry:

What is your price range?

Also, have you decided where on island you want to reside?

Gentry, just curious about your comment reference Pirate's Cove and Villa Fairview that you, "haven't had the help or cooperation from either of these that I was expecting."

I know little about Pirate's Cove apart from hearing a couple of negative comments but am surprised to have that comment lumped in with Villa Fairview. Ronnie has always been most accomodating to newcomers. What were or are your expectations?

Ronnie has been great for the most part, aside though he didn't return a couple of my phone calls and he has yet to confirm our reservation for our avalibility in Febuary from a week ago.......we leave in two weeks.

$800-$1500 or so. We are also keeping the idea of a possible roomate or two open.

I may have a one bedroom in Red Hook available approximately March 1. Fully furnished including washer and dryer, large deck and fabulous view. You can walk to stores, restaurants, ferry and public transportation. Short term or long term. Rent varies according to length of stay. Current tenant paid $1800/month for Dec., Jan. and Feb., plus utilities. That is peak season! Email me if you want more info.
FYI, I have never been inside Pirates Cove, but I have been in Villa Fairview. Check it out carefully. DO NOT rely on the pictures on their web site.
