Hi everyone, my name is Kristan and I am looking to move to the Islands this summer. I have a B.A. in education and I will have my masters degree in special ed this spring. So, I am desperately trying to get a teaching job in the islands. Does anyone know how often they hire teachers from the states?

Yes schools here do hire teachers from the states. Start looking into your options from now. You can look up jobs in the public schools on the Education Dept. web site:
and then you can look up private schools in our education section at:

Thank you so much for the feedback. I have looked at the website and there are teaching jobs available, I am curious about the hiring process. Any idea how it works?

Hello Kristan,
I am not aware of the hiring process. I have heard that phone interviews are conducted as part of the process for off island applicants.
