hi
my boyfriend and i went to the doctors yesterday. just found out he will need hernia surgery and i will need surgery on my ear as i have had an infection for years that never cleared up and that has eroded two of my bones and could possible start to erode into my brain, strange i know. i need to know if there are any organizations that can help with the cost of these operations. we don't have any insurance and my surgery alone will be between 7-10 thousand dollars. we don't have that kind of money and he does not know how much his will cost and his has to be performed in st thomas.
help please

Talk to your doctors & the hospital & work out a payment plan. Good luck.

Why does his have "to be performed in St. Thomas"? They do hernia surgery on STX. Travel costs may not be needed. Definately ask your doctors, some will reduce their fees and may even ask others involved to reduce them as well (like the anesthesiologist) or at least offer an affordable payment plan.

well the doctor is from st thomas is only here one day a week so he does all of his surgeries there, he is going to try to find one here on stx to take care of it. that whole ordeal was bs
