Need Economical Extended Stay by Mid March 2017 / Longterm Rental 2-3 br Moving To St Thomas or St Croix
Need Economical Extended Stay by Mid March 2017 . We would like a Longterm Rental 2-3 br as we are Moving To St Thomas or St Croix but preferably St Thomas.
Any leads and or suggestions would be helpful.
Any cheap airlines and or sites with discounted airlines as well.
Define economical...
You're moving mid March but not sure which island?
Not much of a advance planner are you?
As vicanuck said, please define economical. The only way any of us can possibly assist you is if you give us a price range...
Re: your question about airlines...check American and Delta. Not sure if anyone would consider them discounted, but if you are coming to live in the VI, you will learn that discounted is a dream anyway. 😉
I haven't seen discounted airfares to the VI for several years. They used to have regular sales to the VI but no more.
Hahaha. Oh a good laugh for this morning for me. I'd really do thing your "move" here. Nothing is cheap.... not even boose or cigs soon.
I believe the OP has posted before but I just find it difficult to perceive how someone with a wife and 6 kids has not prepared enough tho is moving within a week and doesn't know what island they're moving to!
Have you done your homework?
Have you researched the costs of feeding a family of 8 and everything else associated with the high cost of living in the VI?
Have you checked on jobs, where your children will be attending school, how you're going to get everyone back and forth without a vehicle, where you're staying upon arrival?
The other thing, as I landlord, myself, I would never rent a 2 bedroom apartment to 8 people, big and small!
Do you have enough money to pay, first last, security, buy food, set up utilities, bare bones furnish someplace, if not provided?
Maybe you should check yourself if you don't yet have answers to these questions.
skyscanner.com for airfares is a great website. I book most of my trips through here.
Sky scanner has really let me down. Back 4-5 years ago it was the best! Now I only use google flights as I find the best fares. I do check sky scanner, travolicy and cheap tickets to compare though but GF is always cheaper now days.

I actually have found Kayak to have the best prices. I use airfarewatchdog, which aggregates a bunch of sites and Kayak is always the best. Skyscanner isn't all that great when it comes to pricing, same goes with Hopper.
I just buy directly from the airline. I've had issues in the past the companies like CheapOair and the like. Plus, I generate so many AA points using my Citi AAdvantage Mastercard for all my business purchases that I rarely pay outright for flights anyway.
Its usually best to buy directly from the airline. If flight times change many times the travel sites don't notify the customers. The airline automation updates and sends messages or calls automatically but in the case of a travel site it gets lost in cyber space.
