Need Directions - Seabase to Hospital on STT
Can someone please give me driving directions from the Seaborne seabase to Scheider Hospital?
Walking or driving?
I haven't tried it, but why not google map it? It's really like having a free gps. Just put in something like Seaborne, Veterans Dr. STT and Roy L. Schneider Hosp. STT, and I bet you'll get the directions. I'm going to try it now.
Yep! Easy.
I hate directions...hope i can help.
Travel east 4-5 lights on the waterfront road(one light past the federal building/Farley justice center).
Then go straight at the light(you'll know you are @ the correct light when all the cars are piling up on the right lane).
When you get to the next light(usually blinking), make a right.
The post office will be on the lefthand side, just after that is the hospital.
You can make a left to the parking/entrance.
For the Emergency entrance,
Go to the road splits, you will see the hospital & lt's lawn on the left, make a left, stay in the left lane & make a left into the side of the building.
Hope this helps.
Thanks DUN. Is there a turn missing in your directions? Perhaps between the light past the Farley Building and the blinking light? I only ask 'cause if I'm traveing east on the waterfront road and make a right won't I end up in the water?
Juanita...I'll be driving. Hence my request for driving directions. The reason I asked for directions rather than do a map search is maps don't always indicate one way roads. This will be my first time driving on STT. We have an early morning appointment at the hospital and I don't want to lose time making wrong turns. I prefer input from someone who knows the way. But thanks for your suggestion.

Oops, sorry, I missed the "driving" part. I haven't lived on STT for a few years, so I hesitate to give directions. There have been some changes in the traffic patterns since I lived there.
It's not far, for sure. If you are picking up a rental car, the agent should be able to map it out for you. Good luck.
When you get the car you must leave the lot then turn left into the post office, drive through the parking lot coming out in Frenchtown, turn right. Take another right at the light. This is the waterfront. Stay in the right lane. Follow that road past the fort, take the first left after the fort at the Farelly Justice Complex. This is after the fort parking lot. Go two blocks past the stop light and turn right. This will take you straight to the hospital.
My experience with Google maps on St Thomas has been dismal. Every time I rely on it, I end up hopelessly lost. I am very bad with directions. I am finally admitting that I should just write them down when people tell me how to get somewhere.
Thanks Ronnie! Between you & DUN I feel confident I'll find it. 😎

DUN/Ronnie...
I missed the left turn just past the fort (per Ronnie) but continued to the light where the cars back up in the right lane (as mentioned by DUN) Found my way from there.
Thanks again folks. It was my first time on STT. My reasons for the visit were not pleasant. But you helped make it easier for me.
Coulda called an ambulance to get you. A little more than a rental car, but they know the way!!lol. Great you found it,
Glad you found it, hope you visit for better reasons next time!
Take care.
