I am looking for an appliance repair person to replace the mother board in my microwave. I went on line and can't figure out how to open the case up. I was hoping to find a local company to do a service repair.

Try Makhana Technologies 713-1146, near Plaza West. They're the only company we could find on STX recently that repairs microwaves. It's $50 to assess the unit, if you bring it to them. Ours turned out to have so many parts shot that we just replaced the whole thing.

I've always thought microwaves are one of those disposable technologies that one throws away when their life is over, kinda like a toaster.

The last microwave I bought cost less than $100 so I wouldn't spend $50 plus to fix it.

Just my opinion.
