I need a (short) mic cable. The phone number at Music Authority just rings and rings, although in the past that hasn't signified anything. Before I head over there I'm wondering if anyone knows whether he's still open, or an alternative on island source. Thanks!

Won't be here in time. I can borrow what I need from friends if I have to, but would like to support local business when possible.

Well I went by Music Authority and happily he seems to be in business, but a sign outside says he's closed this week. No worries, I found what I need.

im glad to see he is still in business, he is a nice guy. for some reason i was under the impression he had closed up for good from your original post.
