Hello Doug,

If you go to the search feature on this board you will find a couple similar post, with good informaiton on them.

Yes you can find jobs in the recreation field and recreation in resorts.

Housing, you might want to stay in a b&b type set up for a week or two, then look for an apartment. Pick up an Island Trader when you get there, that newspaper has listings for apartments. (That is for St. Thomas.) St. John housing will be lots more difficult. St. Croix will also have oppurtunities for recreation type jobs as well as St. John, but St. Thomas has more options for this, and will probally lend for an easier atomosphere for a young grad to move to. (St. Thomas is a bit busier then St. John and St. Croix.)

Thanks a lot for the help... Can you think of any resorts off-hand that have pretty 'big' recreation departments (ie watersports). If not, thanks again for the help.

Dou: The bigger resorts have watersports programs: Frenchman's Reef, Renaissance, Sapphire, Sugar Bay, Bolongo, etc. Some of them are concessionaires, so you would need to wander around and network. There are also some other possibilities like the parasail, kayak and sail operators, etc. These are all going to be face to face contacts...

Doug, you are welcome.. 🙂

As East Ender already has filled you in, the resorts and hotels will be the places to get jobs in water sports. If you know anything about sailing and boating there are quite a few charters as well.
