What depressed industry? Molly's on Sunday is fun. low price on drinks and munchies at happy hour and decent music and the Crab-man Crab races after if things work out. always leave with a smile and in bed before 10.

Term crewed yachts - season ended about two months early and next year is bad. Molly's sounds good for a Sunday afternoon. The week after July 4?

Sounds like a plan!! I was amazed at all the yachts taken out all ready by transport. I saw a full ship leave in June. I hope the VI tourist board is also including your industry in their Specials. I hope people remember to save a little for fun and take a break from the cold dark north in the winter. If they don't it will be ugly up there

The boats that leave on the transport ships - [SeaTran etc.] were always gone for the summer -- we don't have the large mega yacht, motor yacht, type traffic here in the off season and really never have, they have never stayed here for the summer --they are off to the Med,Newport,Maine,New York,Chesapeake etc. - the sailboats that get transported North however used to provide many local sailors delivery jobs and good ocean sea time for aspiring licensees - that part of the industry is mostly gone - the bigger and more costly sailboats get shipped now and avoid wear and tear but have deprived many younger sailors of a chance for ocean experience.
When you get an opportunity to deliver a sailing yacht North these days it is not very likely to be a Swan, Hinckley,Perini-Navi,Oyster or any of the well found vessels - it is often an owner who can't afford to ship it and often is not in an ocean ready condition .

Sounds like you said to meet at Molly Malone's Sunday after the fourth so that would be July 12? Around 1? That sounds like a plan and sounds good to me.

I won't be there, since I'm a Crucian now8-), but if you go earlier in the day for brunch, you can take advantage of the bottomless bloody marys and mimosa. They end at 2:00. Just a thought. Have fun!

I think this is a great idea. Time to meet some "new" buddies and enjoy all the reasons why we are here. Has been a tough year but it too shall pass.

I absolutely love summer here (minus hurricanes) and think this would be such a kick to do at Molly's. I'm in.......

This exemplifies the plight of internet dating -- no one looks like their screen name! - the kids solve the same problem with texting and IM - it is a high tech world.

Nope - never asked - guess we all looked at each other wondering if we were from the message board. We will have to plan another and plan better on how to recognize the group.
