Can somebody advise me about best places in StX to buy Native Food and fresh , made by order :STX and Caribbean , Puerto-Rican, Dominican and Spanish but not Mexican. Where Locals eat and are inexpensive, not the sophisticated places for the tourists but just plain and Traditional will do, I am not afraid of appearance or location...where years and years of experience counts....Also a list of selections finger licking selection would be appreciated !!!!!
Thanks
Aaron

Mid Island Market is a mile or two west of Sunny Isle on Centerline Road. Venders sell fresh, locally grown produce on Saturday. You will also see roadside stands along Centerline Road all days of the week in this area. C-sted has a market on Company Street. I would assume F-sted does, too.

Junies, which is I believe in Sion Farm, is considered one of the best West Indian restaurants. It is on a north-south road that boaders the east side Hovensa fence. It is not more than a mile south of Centerline Road. As I recall, it's painted blue and is two stories. I ate once at Kim's Restaurant in C-sted and thought it was great. It's just to the east of Scotia Bank on King Street.

My favs are Junie's (in Peters Rest, not Sion Farm), Harvey's on Company Street in Christiansted, West End Grill on King Street in Frederiksted, Kim's, among others.

We love Zennie's (I think I'm spellng it right). It is on the side of a bldg across from the post office in Csted w/the market in between. It has puerto rican food and caribbean. Too much food and great prices!

What about STT? Are there any restuarants where the locals hangout. Preferably a place where the chance of getting beating up because I'm white is minimal. I'm anxious to try Carribean food. I also enjoy a good American Bar and grill also.

Thanks

Dave

So Dave, is there any place where this is a chance of you getting beat up cus your white. Are you saying we like to beat up white people, because it's not true. People who stereotype us don't deserve to live in our islands.

Wow Dave....you eat the spoonfed propaganda that the establishment wants you to believe.

Granted all places have crime of some sorts, you should learn to trust your instincts and heart. By not allowing yourself such new and unplanned experiences you may be missing out on a very important encounter that could lead to grand things in your life.

Just use the head that Jah gave you and listen to him when you may be in awkward situations, for he will deliver you, should wish him.

Dave: Locals frequent many restaurants. If you are looking for some good curried chicken and provisions, fried ole wife and fungi, souse and potato salad, red pea soup, conch in butter sauce... you can try Cuzzin's, Victor's, Walker's-By-The-Sea...(help me, Ronnie!) In the food mobile biz, I hear good reports about Solid Gold (next to the Sugar Estate post office) and Rootsie-Ital.
