My "Trip" Report -- Christmas must be in the air.
Today was a personal best for me shopping/errand-wise. Let me explain. This is my last day off before Christmas Eve and I had several errands to run. It's a beautiful day, breezy with enough cloud cover to keep it very confortable.
I left the house at 7:45 and stopped at Full Moon for breakfast and to read the Avis & Daily News. One of the guys working on the opening of OfficeMax was there and told me the opening is going to be on Saturday, only one day behind schedule. Now, this young man didn't realize it, but he was about to witness an actual CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Only one day behind schedule on STX is like a month ahead of schedule in Ohio.
On to the Post Office in Kingshill -- Hooray, a package of christmas gifts from our daughter.
Next Cost-U-Less to pick up one item on my list -- sorry top secret.
Then to a small shop in Peter's Rest for another top secret item.
My next stop was VI Fitness Center is Beeston Hill. Had to make sure they can handle my rehab after I get back from knee surgery at the end of February and also make sure they will take my insurance (looks like they will).
Final stop was the Pueblo in Golden Grove for real vanilla. Plaza didn't have any on Sunday and I can't/won't bake cookies without real vanilla. I haven't been in this store for some time and was very pleasantly suprised. They have made many upgrades. We'll have to try it again for our weeking shopping trips. And they had the vanilla!
By 11:00 am, I was back at the house, drinking iced tea and reading the People Magazine. I had accomplished every item on my list in just over 3 hours ANOTHER MIRACLE! lol.
After lunch I'm gonna crank up some Christmas tunes on the CD, wrap presents and bake cookies.
Hope everyone else is having a happy holiday season.
Linda J
I'm impressed you got all that done in such a short period of time. I was actually very surprised today that with 6 ships at STT the morning drive was very easy as well as the drive home.
