I have been thinking about relocating and would like to start planning for what I call a three year plan. I would like to know about the demographics for natives. Specifically, the weather, poverty, crime, cost of living, is it as great as the wesites say, government? Can anyone give any information? Any is appreciated. I am CA native. thanks

Welcome to the board.
Demographics: Scroll to the top of this very page and click on the Home link on the left side. From the Home page visit Statistics; you will find a population break down there along with other information. Also from the home page visit the Cost of Living section.
For the Weather visit: http://www.vinow.com/usvi/weather.php
Crime: Visit the VIPD website, there are stats there http://www.vipd.gov.vi/, also read the Daily News online or subscribe to the various newspapers.
You should order the books Settlers Handbook, Life in the Left Lane etc. Read them; make notes on questions that arise. Ask the questions. You can find out more on the books at http://www.vitraders.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=V&Category_Code=rel.
Read this board regularly to see what others are asking and the answers they receive.
Also from the home page there is a link to a What to Expect section - there you will find 40+ stories written by people that moved or took pre-move visits to the USVI and they share their thoughts and experiences.
