moving to STX Sept 1: teaching or urban ag?

Hello!

Partner just got a job on STX. Very exciting.

Now, I am curious what I want to do when we get there. Anyone know what teaching conditions are like in STX? I have always worked in underserved schools here in urban Denver. Also, anyone know if there's room to grow at Ridge to Reef? I would like to grow my leadership/managerial skills as well as my farming skills if I were to pursue employment/volunteerism there.

I think R2R is actually hiring a manager right now. Believe I saw it on their website.

I'm a mainland teacher considering moving and teaching in STX. Being a US territory, they follow our federal DOE rules and guidelines. I spent part of a day at one of the schools there and was surprised by the similarities - even to some of the same online programs we use in FL. Of course, they are woefully underfunded but I think that's true for most of the US too - at least it's true in FL. Here is the VI education website. Lots of good info on applying and requirements:
