I've been living in STX for about 2 yrs now and am looking to move to STT for some more action.  Have visited before and am visiting again now.  I would like to know some dirt cheap housing options, as I wouldn't be able to get a job that pays too much above a minimum wage.  All suggestions and advice greatly appreciated, thank you.

i think you will need more than 10.50 an hour to be able to afford to live there.

I’ve seen some inexpensive places at $700 a month posted on Facebook recently. But they tend to be in areas that have history of being sketchy.  So just be careful. Especially as a single young woman.

As a father of 3 grown daughters I would suggest you find a roommate before you make the move.  Use your network to help find someone you might trust and be comfortable living with.  I can tell you nothing is more important to me than the safety and well-being of my daughters.  Is it possible for your family to help you with the move and get settled in after the move.  Good luck with the move and stay safe.

I suggest you attend the university. This way you can continue to get an education which is a necessity to have and you can live on campus at the same time enjoying the St. thomas lifestyle
