I realize that this question has been asked and answered but my husband and family have gotten a job in St. Thomas and will be moving there in October from the states. We were wondering what is the best way to find housing, what is the typical price range for a 4 bedroom home. Also things like could we live on St. Croix instead of St. Thomas and perhaps ferry over daily? What are the schools like there ect. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Forget about the ferrying over from St. Croix! It's 40 miles away. When we have a ferry, it's around $50 RT. You should be able to find a 4 bedroom house in a good are, probably between $1500 and $2500 per month. Most of the realtors advertise houses for sale, but they also have rentals.
There are some good private and parochial schools available.

Here are a few realtor web sites:
www.aprilnewland.com (she is currently advertising a 4 bdrm home)
www.CalypsoRealty.com
www.stoutrealty.com
www.DavidJonesRealEstate.com
www.usvi-realestate.com
www.remax-stthomas.com
www.reliablerealty.com
These are from the phone book- just the ones that had web sites. I have no financial etc. interest in any. Happy hunting!
