I am looking into moving to st john within the next few months and am looking to possibly sublet an apartment room or rent on my own. I am having trouble finding apartment listings online. Any suggestions?
I also have a good friend who just moved back from St J so I will be going through him for other contacts as well.

Hello Kati,
There isn't much at all online as far as apartment classifieds. The Daily News includes some classifieds, but not all that is in their print version. The Island Trader doesn't have an online version and is the weekly paper that contains mostly classifieds. There is the St. John Tradewinds paper that has some classifieds in it; they have pdf copies of the paper on their site but its not current http://www.stjohntradewindsnews.com/. Many times to find an apartment on your own on St. John requires being on island to talk to people, ask around, go look at bullentin boards at places like Connections http://www.connectionsstjohn.com/. Sometimes folks post on this board of availabilities, but not usually for St. John, mostly St. Thomas and St. Croix. Definately ask your friend, perhaps he can put you in touch with his previous landlord, employers, contacts.
