Well, here it goes................i'm in the midst of packing up my Type A, Wall Street, Everything yesterday mentality / life in search of the perfect palm tree. As a result, I have found this message board and feel relieved to know there is an online community out there! I need help!

Personal:
35 yo, single, fit, intelligent, responsible, and well networked.

Flat:
Specifically, how to I go about finding a roommate (or two) until i get settled in Croix? Does anyone know of anyone looking for a mate in this regard?

Job:
Secondly, I am a bartender (its my means of socializing without going out) at two hot spots in NYC and therefore, and can searve a mighty martini....as well as mind erasers (btw, i dont drink....i just encourage others to...)! This is my first thought as far as work until i get settled and find my way around. I am actually quite the lil techie! And have a bit of an entrepreneur....but i have a blast laughing and making people laugh above all.

Hobbies:
Mad athletic chic. Have done the Croix 1/2 ironman a couple years now. Love cycling, running, and swimming too. I write a great deal.... Music. Etc.

My biggest thoughts in researching this Palm Tree relocation thing....is.....to i put everything in storage and come on down with my journal, laptop, and my mixing glasses.....or do i try to find suitable accomodations and move it all NOW!

Anyway, if anyone knows of someone having done this before.....please feel free to drop them my email.

ps: last year when down there for the 1/2 ironman, i ran into a chic that was bartending at the hotel. said she did it rather seemlessly. i would love to know how! and if she is out there....drop me a line.

🙂

Maureen,
Welcome to the Board here! My husband and I are also moving to StX. He insists that I move down first. I'll tell him what we need and he'll send it. After that he's doing an estate sale. Then he's going to join me.

The easiest bet for you would be to pack everything up, put it in storage for a month or two, or ship it to St X and put it in storage. Do your move, find your housing and job, than unpack what you want/need...

Let me know if there is anything else you have questions about...
