I've noticed that all of the moving stories in the What to Expect section of this website are all a few years old. Does anyone have any recent moving stories they would like to share? It would be most interesting to hear stories from people who moved to the USVI at a young age or with limited funds.

Hello my name is Dani, and me and my husband Josh are moving to STX in May of 2010. I have read all the previous moving stories but agree that we need newer ones. I will be sure to post my moving story after our move for everyone else to read. juju2286 you read my mind : )

Nothing much changes down here so the stories from a few years ago still apply.

VI Cargo is awesome, they transported my vehicle and household goods, cleared customs, paid the duty tax, all I had to do was pick up and pay. They don't ask for any deposit or anything. The quoted price was actually $60 more than what I payed. They are awesome. Best moving company ever.

Thanks gtmouse....just curious how much was it to move your car and household items over? I am trying to get a rough estimate of what it will cost to transport my jeep and household items over to St. Croix. I will only be moving about 300 square feet of household items.
